Electrical

I fell behind on posting updates, so just pics and not a lot of notes. Looks like on Memorial Day we installed some receptacle branches and some light boxes.

Current Events

Jon fixed some runs in the crawlspace that weren't correctly supported. Christina oiled the exposed wood ceiling while I worked on that. Then we worked on the upstairs receptacle branch, which was pretty complicated. We're not done with it yet. Grandma Jan came up to enjoy the noise and kids. We ate at Beau's. Love that place.

Electrical rough in for the kitchen

The kitchen got its five branch circuits installed today. Two receptacle circuits for appliances on the counters, plus fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. A little tree fell over the driveway this winter. Siobhan converted it into a chair. She also took this impressively intimate portrait of a ladybug. We ate dinner around the fire pit and had marshmallows for dessert. On Sunday we installed a branch with nine receptacles in the entry and great room, a home run to the upstairs bath receptacle, and then the beginning of the branch for the bath lights and fans. Siobhan made a new sign for the gate.

Back to work

I guess it's been a while since the snow melted; we should probably get this house done. Saturday Christina organized the tools, cleaned up, and vacuumed the house. Jon completed the second branch circuit -- receptacles for the north end of the first floor -- and got started on the lights and outlets for the crawlspace. Not the most exciting branch, but having light down there will make the rest of the wiring easier.   We also got a little archery practice in.
