Sunday started out pretty well. Isaac, the architect of the cabin, showed up to visit with his riding buddy.
Eliot built all of the remaining walls...
A hawk soared overhead, just over the treetops.
I measured the column; it's only 1/8" out of plumb at 8', which means we only need to move the top about 1/2" to make it perfect.
Sadly, Eliot had three nails to go on the interior walls, when a piece split off and the pneumatically-driven nail flew free -- and into his thumb. Ow. It bled a lot. We mopped it up and wrapped it.
So that was it for this weekend. We hung around long enough to greet a framing contractor who's going to help us out with the tall stuff. That was worthwhile!
The rest of the day was a trip back to Seattle and a visit to the clinic to be sure no bone or tendon was damaged. All is well, so hopefully he'll be mostly healed by next weekend.
