Chimney corrected

Way back when we had the roof installed, we had the chimney box installed near the peak to protect the chimney from heavy snow crushing it. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that stovepipes don't like to offset very far horizontally. Oops. So we need to move the chimney box.

Back on Sept 2 we dropped into the cabin for a quick errand: setting up the scaffolding in anticipation of the Armstrong folks coming to move the chimney box.

Today the Armstrong's crew came up to move the chimney box and put a temporary patch over the old hole.

As soon as they had the box pulled out of its old spot, I went up to the interior of the peak (25 feet above the floor!) and patched the hole and wood ceiling.
